Straight Guys for Gay Eyes is both a membership site and a video on demand service. The membership site is traditional - you may a monthly fee and get access to all of the website's content. The video on demand service allows you to pick and choose which scenes you play by buying tokens then spending them only on the scenes you'd like. It's cheaper if you only want to watch a little, or if you want to check out what the videos are like before you join.
Both the membership and video on demand sections have different requirements. The membership site Windows Media Player (for PCs) or Quicktime (for Macs). Videos are optimized for broadband connections only. Dial-up users should only join the membership site if they want to view photos instead of video. Windows Media Player versions have DRM protection and cannot be played after your account expires. The Quicktime videos do not have DRM, so we believe (but are not 100% sure) that they can be played even after your membership expires. There is a 3 gigabyte daily download limit in the membership site. This is the equivalent to ten movies and their pictures. (Download limits are typically used to prevent users from launching bots to grab all of the website's content at once, thereby overloading the server and potentially breaking the daily bandwidth limit with the website's hosting company. Remember, these are very high resolution videos.)
The video on demand section requires both Windows Media Player and a broadband connection (ie; no dial-up). Downloadable videos have a three-day viewing license. That is, you can watch the videos for three days after you download them. After that time they will not play on your computer unless you purchase it again. Users can choose whether to download the video (which requires time to download before you can view them), or if you want to stream them online. Downloadable videos have a higher video quality. Spending your tokens on a movie is only good for one option so choose carefully. Tokens cost $0.60 - $1 each, and all videos are three tokens each.
