The review process

We are happy to review any site listed on GayGeek. Our review teams usually consist of two to four reviewers. Webmasters must provide us with passwords so that reviewers can access customer-only content.

Our reviewers write their opinions independent of GayGeek staff. We do not edit the reviewer's comments other than fixing minor issues such as spelling, punctuation, and grammatical mistakes. We also make minor factual corrections on occasion.

Webmaster responses

Once the reviews are complete, you are welcome to submit a response. These comments are displayed at the bottom of the website's page. This is the your space and can be used to thank or the reviewers, to clarify a reviewer misunderstanding, to advertise new content, to explain fixes and renovations of website problems, or whatever.

Errors

In the case of major errors in a review, please contact the GayGeek staff regarding the issue. On rare occasions we remove the review or ask the reviewer to revise his comments.

Outdated reviews

As time passes reviews become increasingly outdated. We usually wait at least a year before revisiting a website, although in the case of major changes we sometimes send out another team. At present our reviews go back as far as two years. We are working to update many of those reviews, and in the future will have better handling for outdated reviews so that websites are not unduly penalized in our rankings.

Get reviewed

If you would like your website reviewed, please fill out our "suggest a site" form. (The form is primarily used to suggest a site for listing, but if a site is already listed we'll understand you would like to be reviewed).
