Does Southern Strokes deliver what it promises on the outside?
Southern Strokes specializes in straight boys from the deep South. These guys are a refreshing alternative to the Abercrombie & Fitch clones found in every urban area. The boys are naturally good looking and do nothing to primp for the occasion. You won't find any tweezed eyebrows. You will find hair that may be a little shaggy, some scruffy facial hair, and a few battle scars.
The free preview has a few pics of every model but no video samples. It is limited but accurate for what is inside.
What's good about Southern Strokes? What needs improvement?
The opening page has a large pic and description for the three newest posts. A paragraph describes the model and scene. Clicking the model’s pic opens a page with more description, photo thumbnails and links to download or stream the video.
Clicking a thumbnail pic opens a high resolution photo. There is no download provision for the photos as a set and no slide show feature making them somewhat tedious to view.
The style is amateur with very high production values for both photos and video. Videos are shot in widescreen. Strong lighting, good sound and nice surroundings add to the enjoyment. Most of the videos start with a brief interview.
Content is posted in chronological order. A model with multiple sets may be on multiple pages. The site is fairly new so there isn't a great amount of content. As the site grows it will benefit from some way to see all of model's work without the need to scroll through the entire site.
A Strokers Lounge link is set up as an information page and forum for members. There are only a few posts an it doesn't appear to have caught on with members.
How is Southern Strokes unique?
The concept of an interview and jack site isn't new. It is the guys in front of and behind the camera that make Southern Strokes unique.
What do paying users recieve for their money?
Membership is on the high side for what is on the site as of this review. Even the 5-day pass is steep. The beginnings here are strong and if the growth continues, it may be worth the price in the future.
