Does Sean Cody deliver what it promises on the outside?

Sean Cody is probably the biggest and best known amateur gay porn site there is. As such, there's little on the outside, beyond the usual warning about the site containing images of men engaged in gay sex. It's a site which doesn't need to make over-blown promises: it's happy to let the porn speak for itself.

What's good about Sean Cody? What needs improvement?

There are many good aspects to this site. First, the technical stuff: it looks good, there's an excellent search facility so you can find the guy the want, and the production values of the videos are excellent. There's a choice of formats for downloading, including one to suit iPhones, and you can choose which level of quality (and therfore file size) you want. Download speeds could be quicker, though.

But of course the really good stuff is the men and the sex. And both are top notch. There have been complaints that Sean Cody concentrates on one type of guy too much. But if you're after good looking, fit, muscled American boys, you won't go far wrong here. Most are in their twenties, some a little older, and there's a nice combination of smooth and more hairy. Of course not every guy will appeal to everyone, but the hit rate of this site is very very high. And the sex is good too. The solos always contain two cum shots, and in the duos there are always plenty of positions, and lots of variety in the way they're filmed. All in all, it's top notch stuff.

There are one or two small criticisms, though. In the solos, the guys often strip off a bit too quickly -- there's no thought for people who might like a look at the guys in their underwear. And inexplicably, some solos don't contain so much as a glimpse of the model's backside. One of the camera guys, who does the interviews, asks some really annoying and stupid questions.

The site does also overuse some of the guys. Looking back through the vast catalogue, you can spot eras, where two or three guys were seen over and over again. Sometimes this is a good thing, but it is possible to see some guys too much.

And the stories attached to the guys are often laughable. Back in the early days, the whole premise of the site was that it featured straight guys. And the fiction has continued. Probably a few of the guys are straight (some never return after their solo), but most of the others take to sucking, rimming and fucking to such an extent, that it's difficult to believe they're not gay. It's a shame that these gay guys don't just say so.
