Does Popboys deliver what it promises on the outside?

PopBoys.com claims to be a reality show online where aspiring young men who want to be pop singers do anything to reach their goals and make their singing careers happen. It's an interesting twist, but doesn't really get a lot of focus--instead you'll find more of the website's "indoctrinator" fucking the twinks than any singing auditions before a panel of star judges.

This site has the same color scheme, layout and premise as the www.QSolo.com site I reviewed earlier, and for good reason; they are run by the same company and feature the same actor/models.

This site offers good video quality and still photos wrapped around the premise that Ben will further these actor/models' careers if they submit to sucking his dick, letting him bareback fuck them in myrid positions, and then eat his cum at the end as he JOs. That's all there is, video of it in various formats, and good quality photos, albeit there's not enough for my tastes.

What's good about Popboys? What needs improvement?

The fucking in the vids is pretty hot. But the fact that it's always the same guy fucking them (he's OK looking, nice dick, but that's about it), and that the model/actors never get sucked, never get to do any fucking, and aren't even shown jacking off at the end themselves made it become quickly boring for my tastes. (I like action and lots of it, with lots of position changes and actor interactions.)

The photo set quality is great, on par with my yardstick site for such (www.gayteenstudio.com), but there should be many more photos, close-ups of genitals, action, etc.

To make this good site a great one, they need more than just Ben indoctinating the actor/models, and they need to expand their concept to have group sex, and certain more than the same red-walled room for their stage (one of my pet peeves; the shoots always in the same place, same colors, same general shoot layout).

How is Popboys unique?

It's perhaps the only gay porn XXX site to be based on a quasi-reality show premise. The guys are twinks, almost all white (there's on asian) so if you want ethnic diversity, you won't find it here... but the concept was at least fascinating and had me interested for a while... only to loose interest when I saw it was the same guy and the same general routine over and over.

What do paying users recieve for their money?

The site is good in the fact that it permits a $4.95 3-day trial membership to evaluate the site... and I recommend that. There's not a lot of content, so you can certainly download and/or view it all in that time. They don't appear to update often... based on teh site, about once every two weeks. That's poor for a porn site; most update at least weekly, often several times a week. So for the monthly cost of $29.95, you'll only get two new things to view for your membership duration... which isn't a great deal.

Ben Dover Boy's review b-plus

October 31, 2006

Caricature of Ben Dover BoyIt is definitely a hot sight to see all of these boyband twinks strutting about the stage and showing off more of their bodies than their singing ability. They know just how far to go to make their gay fans hard with desire while keeping their most secret parts hidden and in the realm of fantasy. However, there is a growing number of up and cumming pop boys who want to make a name for themselves in the industry and are willing to do anything to get a leg up, even if it means throwing their own legs up in the air. That's the premise of this collection of hard bodied twinks who meet with a producer and end up showing him all their sexual skills before even singing a note. Read full review

Techie's review b-plus

October 21, 2006

Caricature of TechiePop Boys is a fantasy site where "producer" Ben Huller auditions wannabe pop stars by putting them to the blocks. All the action takes place in his Amsterdam studio (red) or bedroom (blue). Most of the boys look barely 18 and appropriately costumed for their part. All of the boys are previewed with a brief video clip and some photos. Read full review
