Does New York Straight Men deliver what it promises on the outside?
"100% Straight Men fresh off the STEAMY streets of New York City...All shot in sizzling High Definition Video plus Thousands and Thousands of High Resolution PICS...A HOT Straight Guy added every 5 days!!!"This is what the site offers, and with the exception of the high def video, it delivers. None of the videos I saw on the site were what I would classify as high definition.
What's good about New York Straight Men? What needs improvement?
The website is very simple. There is only one main page, and all the thumbnails leading to the content are on this page. Every update is there for you to see. Each update has a brief description, a photo gallery and a video page. Most of the newer videos have a QuickTime option for downloading. This is the supposed high definition option, which I did not find to be much better than the Windows Media version, which is your other option. The WMV file is available for streaming as well as downloading. You are required to enter your password when streaming a file, but not when downloading for some reason. The streaming is quick to start, but cannot be navigated until buffering is complete. The downloads are reasonably quick, and the videos themselves are of good quality.Since I reviewed the site last, there does seem to be a wider variety of guys on here. There are all still white, but there are twinks, jocks, and just your average guys represented. The majority of them are simply the guys you see on the street every day. They aren't models, but then again, most people aren't. Most of the videos are either blow job vids, or solo jack off. There are some fucking videos as well.
One thing that bothers me is that last time I visited the site there was a sign in the DVD store section that said coming in 2007. Well, the sign is still there saying the exact same thing. If you aren't going to make a store, take it down. This just makes it look like you don't take care of the site. Also, a hands-free viewer and zip file download for the photo galleries would not be a bad thing to implement.

Take the tour of NewYorkStraightMen and you will quickly catch on to the theme here - its NYC's "down low" blow job site. A kind of fun and unique site theme. You can watch preview vids for the Recent Updates row on the main menu only. Its a little contrived, clicking the thumbnail gets the Portfolio page - click the thumbnail again to get to the Pix page - then select the Video tab for the video page. It should give you a pretty good idea of what's inside. Other thumbnails not in the Recent Updates row will still reveal an abbreviated photo gallery, but no preview vids. The total collection of movie thumbnails shown on the tour represents the actual collection as a member. Read full review
