Does Male Corps deliver what it promises on the outside?

The site graphics and backgrounds have (not surprisingly enough) a militaristic theme that keeps it simple, yet succeeds in giving you some idea of the triple-loaded testosterone treats that await you inside. Color-coded, clickable navigation bars at the top and bottom of the splash page offer links to the various areas. The site is split into three categories: "THE WARRIORS", "THE WORKERS" and "THE ATHLETES." Drop-down menus at the upper right hand corner of the page give you further quick access, as each category contains archives of the featured models. Everytime you return to the site, a different model from a different category graces the page at random, and you even have the option of jumping right to whatever category the model is featured in, especially if you want to see more of him (ex: "The Warriors-2003.") There's not a lot of filler or frou-frou frills here, boyz. What you see is definitely what you get.

What's good about Male Corps? What needs improvement?

One word: FRAMES. Some people are pretty particular about how their porn is presented--how the site is designed, what the graphics are like, what coding was used in the construction, yadda yadda yadda. But the main pet peeve some of my compadres have is about the frame factor; does the site offer the option of frames vs. no frames versions? In this case, the answer is "no," so if you are frameophobic, you may want to stop reading right here and move on to the next review. If not, press on, brave pilgrim!

And if you're scratching your head, thinking "What the hell is he talking about?", here's a quick 411: frames are what you see on a page, when it is split up into two or more rectangular boxes: in Male Corps' case, it's just two. The bigger box displays the full sized images of the model on the page you're on, while the skinny, left-handed side has the smaller versions of the images (called thumbnails) that you click on to get the bigger one. Navigation bars at the bottom of the frames allow you to see the full image by moving them from left to right and back again, (which is why some folks HATE frames: they can block a part of the pic you want to see entirely.)

So in the "improvement" category, I will bet my last buck that Male Corps will attract even more "recruits" once they offer a no-frames version. Otherwise, there's so much here and so much genuinely GOOD stuff, it's hard to get real nit-picky.

Another note: pop-up screens abound, first to give you a brief profile of each model, (creatively fabricated, but authentic enough to pull you into the role-playing), including his stats, place of residence and what he's into for both outdoor and indoor recreation, (the bedroom kind.) Then another screen takes you into the archived shoot itself. Some feature video (Real Player required), some feature only stills. Now, for some, this might be a deal-breaker: the stills archives in a lot of cases are nearly frame-by-frame documents of the model's taped segments. You could almost make your own little movie by stringing them all together; it's THAT inclusive. (Though some viewers won't like the feeling of clicking through what looks like the same image ten times.)

How is Male Corps unique?

What makes it unique is not the sheer amount of content that can be found here, but the overall quality of what you get. Where the sites of some popular models offer you every fantasy shot imaginable, (everything to business suit looks to Conan the Barbarian-gear), and others insult your intelligence by taking a couple of hustlers fresh off the street, sticking hard-hats and tool belts on them and casting them as "construction workers," Male Corps is not about that at all.

An unusual amount of work has gone into making the overall impression you get from each model seem as real and natural as possible.

Two great examples: in the "Athletes" 2002 archive, 6'2", 32 year-old pro-football stud "Walter," hailing from Omaha, Nebraska (if you believe the profile), is shown half-in and fully out of uniform, shot around what looks like a real practice field. Plus, the fact that this hot younger daddy type complely looks the part doesn't hurt, either.

Same with Joshua Robinson (Athletes, 2003). This 29-year-old martial arts enthusiast from Denver, Colorado, might be the most un-threatening 'ninja' you've ever seen (maybe because he's NOT Sonny Chiba or Sho Kosugi), but photographed in full regalia, in natural surroundings that really look as if it could be a wooded area outside of Denver, you can't be too hard on the finished product. Especially when you see this young man's tightly muscled build, and the cumshot he delivers in his featured segment.

Which is another one of Male Corps big pluses. In addition to the diversity, (models run the gamut from early 20's to mid 40's, hairy to smooth, fresh, college jocks and boy-next-door to seasoned muscle daddies), some shoots serve only to feature the uniform and the particular millieu of each model's background as an erotic fetish in and of itself, which for some people, is all they need to get off.

Don't get me wrong: some of the guys here are obviously porn stars posing as fratboy jocks, jarheads and dock workers (case in point: in the Warriors archives, a hunky 30-year-old Marine sergeant billed as "Rob Bailey", is clearly recognizable to gay porno hounds as model and bodybuilder Rob Hammersmith. And he won't be the only one you'll find familiar.) But the creative team at Male Corps have gone all-out to preserve the fantasy aspect to lure the voyeur in us all, and for the most part, it works.

What do paying users recieve for their money?

For your hard-earned dinero, you get just what it says on the splash-page: "there are 59,288 exclusive films and photos of 136 men in and out of uniform!" And THAT's just the updated site numbers as of today's date. As I explained before, there are the three categories, which each contain archives of both stills and video of each individual model dating back to 2002. Well, at least for the "Workers" and "Athletes" categories. Armed Forces nuts will go ga-ga over the mother-load (or is that 'muther-CUM-load?) of material in the "Warriors" section. That section alone is broken down into three sub-categories: "Boot Camp", "Active Duty" and "Special Forces," and "Active" (which was probably the initial archive for this section,) goes back to 2000!

Every model has featured photo shoot segments, but not all of their pages include filmed clips as well, especially in the older archives. The reasoning behind this might be to limit bandwith usage on their server, but as a result, you may not get to see the model you want in live action as well as stills, (I would've loved to have seen footballer Walter, tall, hunky college hoops jock Szilard and Special Forces hottie David Leif (a dead ringer for Matt Damon!) in action.)

Also, keep in mind: not every model ends every clip or photo shoot with a cumshot. Some of them are so hot, you won't even mind, while others will leave you scratching your head and wondering "Where's the CREAM to go with the beef?" (The aforementioned David Leif does his thing in Richard-the-Lionhearted drag that is truly hot, but he has an excuse for omitting an orgasm--who would get the cleaning bill for that royal bedspread?)

Besides those archives, you also get "Club USMC," kind of a mall-like section offering links that take you to a PPV (pay-per-view) page of sports-and-military themed clips, an "internet archive" that features licensed material (read: images you have probably seen a gazillion times elsewhere, although a lot of them are still pretty hot), the Male Corps store that offers DVDs of some of the featured site clips, a page that lists updates coming up, and even upcoming live events, (though the one currently listed, "Salvation", has a link that takes you to a Flash-heavy page, which doesn't really explain what it is and doubles back to the Male Corps site.) Also available: a branded store for toys and other party favors, and--BEWARE!--an "online pharmacy" that leads to a compiled links page called "Pillshop.com," where you may probably find Viagra, but the risk of getting caught in a pop-up maze probably isn't worth the trouble.
