Does Lucas Entertainment deliver what it promises on the outside?

Michael Lucas is a multi award winning model and director so I had very high expectations when I came to review LucasEntertainment.com. The site only offered a teaser preview so alarm bells started ringing straight away, and I have to say this site does not do Michael any justice, it certainly does not deliver what you would expect.

What's good about Lucas Entertainment? What needs improvement?

As with some other sites LucasEntertainment.com is basically a shop front for the purchase of their DVD’s which in itself is no bad thing, but when the quality of the content that is offered to internet users is poor, that’s when we have a problem. The layout and style of this site is very good, it looks like a quality site and navigation is quite simple as well. The site only offers streaming videos of Michael Lucas’s back catalogue, they are offered in both WM and QuickTime. The WM option has DRM which I can’t see the point, because the videos can only be streamed and it’s annoying to enter your password and wait for the license to load on every video, which sometimes can take a while. The quality of the WM videos are poor which does spoil the production values of the films. The QuickTime option has no DRM of course so they load very quickly, and again you have to enter your password. The quality of the videos is very poor and are not indexed so you have to wait for video to download before you can skip to the parts you want to see. The streaming of content was smooth but on the whole I was very disappointed with the video content. The photo section had 76 solo sets of mostly exclusive models, as in keeping with the video side the photo’s couldn’t be saved and the photo’s per set was very limited, the quality of the photos, again was very poor.

The site has a good range of models and the videos range from Hollywood style slick productions to the more amateur style audition videos. The men are mostly 25 plus and have the classic porn star looks but the site does offer younger more amateur looking models in their audition section. The amount of content offered is reasonable but there are sites that offer much more for the same price.

How is Lucas Entertainment unique?

If you are a big fan of Michael Lucas then you will really enjoy this site because you can see he does put a lot of effort into his film work and it comes across that he really enjoys his work. The site however is pretty much standard fare.

What do paying users recieve for their money?

The $30 membership fee gets you a very mediocre video streaming site with poor quality photos. What this site needs to do is offer good quality downloadable video content and ditch the DRM and have a full preview section, until this happens I wouldn’t even recommend you visit this site, it honestly isn’t worth it.
