Does Jake Cruise deliver what it promises on the outside?
Jake Cruise was an unemployed L.A. webmaster turned porn producer circa 2000. Silver-haired Jake seems to favor str8-ish jock types with a proliferation of latinos, with an occasional marine from San Diego, supplemented with a good number of professional porn stars who you might recognize from other sites.

What's good about Jake Cruise? What needs improvement?
I have visited JC on and off almost since its inception and this is one of those sites with tons of promise that only delivers a lukewarm rating in my book (my 85% rule).
My primary complaint with JC is that Jake is such a ham that he INSISTS on appearing in practically every single video which he produces. An occasional host appearance is one thing, but I find it tiresome to watch each and every guy get mauled by the same middle-aged man smiling into the lens with cum in his hair. I have the same issue with Amateur Str8 Guys and Hard'n'Straight. Who wants to watch a diary of someone's paid sex life (for years of episodes)?
That major issue aside, I found the old pull-down menu navigation antiquated (JC being a former webmaster, no less) and non-intuitive. I also strongly suggest migrating to indexed vids instead of waiting for the entire video to download before being able to fast forward through the tedious scenes of Jake taking every chance to be in the lens. The videos ARE ALSO offered in segments, which speeds up delivery - however this feature seemed buried in the pull-down menus.

What do paying users recieve for their money?
For $24.95 recurring or $34.95 non-recurring (don't you hate that?), you'll get: over 250+ videos in medium-good resolution playing either in WMP or QT. There are photo galleries available as well, although the size of the pix is negligable. Updates are weekly - so if you like the goods, a longer membership might be considered.

Jake Cruise is a little more rounded since may last review several years ago. By more rounded I'm not talking about the few extra pounds he is packing, but the fact that there more videos without his on screen performance. He's still giving massages.
