Does Helix Studios.net deliver what it promises on the outside?

What's good about Helix Studios.net? What needs improvement?

I think that the decision to merge all of their sites together was a stroke of genius for Helix. Taken separately, each site is somewhat of a niche market. However, if you roll them all together, you get a great variety and much higher amount of content than almost any other site out there. With the economy like it is today, people are much more likely to drop some cash on a site like this, then they would on each of these sites separately. Where else can you find Latin men, barely legal twinks, barebacking, spanking, fratboys, and jocks all in one place?

The website is surprisingly easy to navigate considering the amount and varying types of content you have at your disposal. You can search by individual sites, models, type of scene, and movie name (for those on DVD). Each update is laid out in roughly the same way. There is an embedded Flash player that you can stream the video in, as well as QuickTime and WMV files that can be streamed or downloaded. The streaming Flash player was fairly quick, and seemed to work better than streaming in Window's Media Player. I had some trouble with certain downloads requiring a different codec for the rest that I did not have, but that my be a quirk of my system, and not an indication of an error on the site. The videos are good quality, and are usually quite erotic. (I did find a few duds, but that is normal for most sites.) Each update also has some screen caps that you can view or download. Their quality is decent, but nothing to write home about.

Currently you can see most of the scenes from each movie, and download them separately. I wish that there was an option to download the entire thing in one go, other than buying it in the store. Members do receive a 30% discount, but I'll stick with separate scenes rather than buy the video. One other things I found to need a bit of work was the model search page. I could barely read the names of each model, the print was so tiny. Most folks may just be looking by face, but if you are looking for one in particular, you could easily miss it. SO bump it up a notch or two guys, save us a trip to the eye doctor!

How is Helix Studios.net unique?

It is rare to find 5 well-done sites rolled into one, and to have it done so well. You hardly even know there are multiple sites. There are no second logins, or drastic design and layout changes between them. Many of the models can be seen EVERYWHERE On the net, but the content seems to be original to these sites.
