Does Gay Hot Movies deliver what it promises on the outside?
Hot Gay Movies is an online gay video Blockbuster. Here is a virtual porn store filled with 7,000 (give or take a few) videos available for streaming or download. You can pay to watch by the minute or for a number of days. Borrowing flexibility is the key - you will not permanently own anything, but then you don't pay the ownership price. Some of the providers offer free preview clips. If you are looking for something specific, searches of the catalog by title, director or talent are free.
What's good about Gay Hot Movies? What needs improvement?
The store features hundreds of videos for rent. It is easy to navigate and there are several filters making it easier to find things in the catalog. If you already know what is it is like, you can quickly find it here.
The concept is to purchase time to watch anything on the site. There are several time packages available from a purchase of a set number of minutes of streaming video or to a number of days to download and view a title. A time meter on the site clearly shows the number of minutes left in what you have purchased.
The movies are available complete or in scene clips so you can skip the cheesy dialog and get to the point of why we rent these things in the first place.
Once you have selected a video you click and a smallish viewing screen opens. For Windows users, you can right click and select a zoom feature to enlarge the picture. The picture quality you see is dependent on the original content. Some of the more vintage stuff I tried was fuzzy at the full screen display. Newer content offered a better full screen view.
The site also has a "high definition" filter bringing up content with the highest resolution. If you have upgraded to hi def television you will come to know that the use of high definition on Hot Gay Movies is a stretch. The content does have the best picture, but it is DVD quality not high definition quality. This is a minor quibble as there is no true high definition gay video content being produced as of this writing.
In my day job, I have had the fortune to view true high definition DVDs from two competing systems on the market. The pictures are glorious. The format war will settle down and Gay porn will eventually use the technology. When it does, shaving rashes and bottom skin blemishes will suddenly become factors - yes, the video quality is that good. It might be time to address the current pube shaving fashion. That's a good thing in my view. I'm not looking for a jungle down there but I do want something to assure me that I am not lusting over jail bit.
Not every porn studio is represented on the site. Some of major porn players like Falcon and its subsidiaries are not available. You need a subscription to their online site for access their exclusive content.
Once you login you will find some "premium" titles that have a higher per minute viewing charge. Titles falling into this category seemed to be very recent additions to the catalog. I did not view any premium titles for this review.
Watching a streaming video is less convenient than a downloaded file or a DVD. You can't easily skip forward or back until the entire file has downloaded with streaming video. Impatient types beware.

Hot Gay Movies is one of several online video providers and so isn't all that unique.
What do paying users recieve for their money?
Hot Gay Movies is perfect for the guy who is easily bored by porn. There is so much variety and new content is being added all the time. For those of us who enjoy having hard copes (pun intended), here is an inexpensive way to preview a title before committing the $50 to purchase a DVD.

Gayhotmovies is the MEGA site of gay porn. When you visit their homepage you see the most recent additions to a collection that numbers in the thousands. You need to sign up using your credit card for age verification but you won't pay anything until you see something you want to watch. All new users get 10 free minutes, then you can either pay-as-you-go for $0.15 per minute or buy a set number of minutes ranging from 10 minutes for $2.45 to their best value option of 600 minutes for $49.95. All films can be viewed in whole or part using minutes you purchase as part of your package. I had 57 minutes to use and in that time I could see the site was loaded and worthy of its claims! I have never given any consideration to pay per view websites before so I knew this review would be different and interesting. Gayhotmovies.com homepage was packed full of information and pictures, but with a little orientation it became quite easy to navigate. To get the most from this site you would have to create an account and you then benefit from the ten free minutes they offer. This site certainly does deliver, it’s almost like having an adult book store in comfort of your own home, the downside is you can’t cruise other men! Read full review

I'm not a big fan of websites that are dedicated to simply providing online video of VHS or DVD movies that you could otherwise purchase yourself, but do recognize that there are benefits to such a site--you get to preview titles to determine if they are really what you want to buy. This is a Pay-Per-View site offering "Gay Hot Movies" for viewing as a whole feature or scene by scene. There are ofer 5000 movies and 275 studios represented in the selections. Yes, I believe it delivers. Read full review
