Does Dog Gone Video deliver what it promises on the outside?

Unlike most other porn sites, Dog Gone Video offers only streaming video to the subscriber. There are no photo sets, no ability to download video clips for later enjoyment--rather it's like a Blockbuster for the web.

There's both a straight and a gay theater, but my comments will be limited to only the more important gay option :-)

What's good about Dog Gone Video? What needs improvement?

There are tons of available videos on this site! The video selections are searchable, and there is a handy left-menu window that lets you click on video titles by genre... barebacking, twink, asian, foot fetish, whatever. This is a useful feature if you only have interest in specific types of gay porn... but if you don't, you can either click on a "Top Video" based on total views directly from the main entry page, or just shuffle through the hundreds of titles, one page at a time.

Other search options are also available--by actor, studio or keyword.

I noted many titles for DVDs I already had purchased listed as streaming on this site. I also found a fair selection of "old" titles (pre-condom) as well as amateur ones. But the new titles and offerings far outweighed what I already had in my own library and what I'd already seen.

What are the downsides? The video player they offer is inflexible--you cannot select your own platform, but must what the video in a browser window that does not enlarge to fill the screen. I have a 21" HD monitor and couldn't get the player to fill more than 40% of that space.

The video quality varies greatly. The pre-condom and amateur videos, plus some from Eastern Europe or Russia, were grainy, distorted and in general poorly lit. A few of the videos, regardless of quality, pixelated frequently when I watched them.

The controls for the videos are poor as well--there is no real fast foward or reverse, no slo-mo, only an option to click on a number to skip to the next sequential scene in the video, or a very insensitive click-and-drag scroll tab on a scroll bar to move forward or backward in a video. Therefore if you want to skip all the mundane talking the models do at the start, and the prerequisite kissing, and get to the fucking, it's very hit-and-miss as to whether you'll properly forward to that part of the scene.

How is Dog Gone Video unique?

With a huge library and sub-category genre menu, you can see a lot of video for your membership. You'll just have to be aware that some of the video is a lot better in terms of quality and action by the models than others... it's hit or miss in many cases.

What do paying users recieve for their money?

The site is based on buying minutes, just like a pay-to-use cell phone. Your best bet is to buy the largest quantity of minutes at once, earning the best $/min rate and free minute bonuses for doing so.

This site is good for a quick jack-off on a horny day, but for watching the entire porn video, it lacks. The viewer is too small, and the controls don't come anywhere close to those of a real DVD player, making scene skipping (which you know we ALL do!) impossible, which means wasted minutes as one tries to fiddle with the darn thing to get to the best parts of the videos one chooses.
