Does Defiant Boyz deliver what it promises on the outside?

Defiant Productions, a producer of amateur porn for a decade, is transitioning from DVD distribution to online content. That's a good strategy since broadband porn is quickly rendering triple X DVDs to the bargain bin.

The site promises horny skater boy action. Skater boys, as defined here, are average 18 to twentysomethings that are just a little rough around the edges - no extremely good looking or overly groomed boys. There is a good assortment of straight and gay boys willing to get off solo, or in pairs and in group action. The preview tour provides six streaming clips that accurately showcases what membership buys.

Once inside members see a list of updates and thumbnails of the content cataloged in 3 categories; videos, interviews and cumshots. The video content is made up of scenes from the DVD catalog that run 15 to 20 minutes or so. Interviews are short clips filmed before or just after the action. If foreplay bores you, you can go to the Cumshots. A fourth category provides DVD screen captures.

What's good about Defiant Boyz? What needs improvement?

Videos posted to date are from the early days of amateur video production. Noise from the camera intrudes and camera movement is sometimes jerky. Videos can be streamed or saved to your hard drive.

The guys are amateur so when there is a "story," the dialog is a little stiff. I enjoyed the videos more where there was no story and the guy or guys were being themselves.

All the content is posted in date order. There is no search function or way to sort the content. For example, if you watch an interview and then want to watch the scene the boys are describing, there is no link from the interview. To find the scene you need to scroll through each page looking for it. That's 42 pages as of this review - a major annoyance in my book. There is a provision to tag favorite videos, but I didn't find a way to recall my favorites. Members can also rate the content.

How is Defiant Boyz unique?

This is guerrilla video shot in a variety of settings. If you are nostalgic for the early days of home video production, this site will bring back memories. A few of the models have gone on to work for other producers.
