Does Colt Studio deliver what it promises on the outside?
Colt Studios has been around since even before the Stonewall Riots, so this place has produced A LOT of porn over its 40 years in operation! At one time, Colt was the cadillac of gay content.
It pains me to be the one reviewer to go against the grain and PAN the site. Three reasons: tiny crap photos, videos won't play, and not a soul in the live section except at 2PM on Mondays and Fridays(?)
So what are we getting?
What's good about Colt Studio? What needs improvement?
Colt has all the goods stashed in the vault to dish out a popping good time, but I found them doling out the content like Ebeneezer Scrooge - all the while trying to sell you something else.
I was disappointed on all counts and will go down their website sections - one by one..
1. COLT MEN - these are the studio's megastars whose photos are stingily doled out in mini-galleries of around 24 pix each, at the unbelievably tiny res of 317x454 and embossed with their logo at that. This was fine for 1998.
2. PHOTOS - a totally useless collection of singly collected pix like you would find in a free TGP.
3. LIVE MEN - one Buckshot model is featured on Mondays and Fridays at 2PM (think I'll be home then?) and the Colt model is on the road. Looked DEAD to me.
4. NEW MOVIES - these are Colt's new releases, for which you can watch preview clips only (useless).
5. CINEMA - a rotating selection of 10 vids which play in Real Player (yuck!) and I couldn't get a single one to stream even at that. The 10 vids being featured ranged in production dates from 1987 to 2004. You will not see any new productions here.
6. COLT MEN EXCLUSIVES - same as #1.
How is Colt Studio unique?
I think that the legacy porn producers of magazines and video tape have their work cut out for them competing with internet porn upstarts streaming to our homes in the middle of the night.
Colt is NOT making the cut into the world of streaming content - but instead is stuck in the "order DVD" mentality.
What do paying users recieve for their money?
In my humble opinion, what you are really getting for $29.95 is a rotating selection of 10 Colt videos of past fame which may or may not play - and only in RealPlayer at that! The photo sections were absolute trash (tiny and overly-compressed). The site is tired.
You might as well take your $29.95 and open an account over at AEBN.com and get your fill of Colt vids of more recent vintage.

There are no twinks here. These fellas are a little older, a lot heavier and more muscular and all are well-endowed. There is a photo gallery for each and their appearances in videos are featured. I believe that what is promised is certainly delivered. Read full review

Coltstudio presents a cover page and tour that lets you know exactly what you get for your money and that is real sexy muscular guys who mean business. The site promises to have streaming movies to view and galleries to explore. That’s just what I found. Pay per view movies are available for another fee and allow you even more choices.
