Does Berlin Male deliver what it promises on the outside?

With the British and Americans dominating the amateur porn market I was interested to see what our German friends had to offer. On first inspection Berlin-Male.com is a very professional looking website, with a full and open preview section, you know you’re in for no nasty surprises and as an amateur site it does deliver, but delving a little deeper into the site, it’s not as slick as first impressions would dictate.

What's good about Berlin Male? What needs improvement?

As stated before the look and layout of the site is very good, there is a lot of information on every page but is laid out with the typical German efficiency, the navigation is also very good with the models put into age and size categories and cross referenced. The photosets I reviewed were large and the quality was crystal sharp.

The video content was a very mixed bag in terms of quality, I know the website is in the process of updating it older or to quote the website ‘classic’ videos but I will review this site on what I found at the time of my visit. Some of the videos I downloaded were in widescreen format, some were very small and some were of very good quality, the trouble is you don’t know what you are getting until you have downloaded the video, an indication of the quality of the video would be nice on the models homepage. I have two major pet peeves when it comes to amateur gay porn, videos offered in clips and terrible background music on the films, and yes you have guessed it, Berlin-Male.com does both. Overall I was a little disappointed with the video content of this site.

The models on the site were very amateur in appearance and for the most part exclusive to the site. There is a lot of different types of model on the site from your bleached haired skinny twink to the leather clad bear, so this may disappoint some, I do have a very broad tastes when it comes to the male form, but even I failed to spot a model that was super hot. The models are rated by its members and comments can be left on the models homepage, these are mostly in German but I bet I could have a good guess at what they might say. The site also gives the location in Berlin and Germany the models are from, I cannot quite see the relevance of this but it’s a nice personal touch.

How is Berlin Male unique?

This is the first amateur site I have reviewed that is German but the style and delivery of its content is pretty much the same as other amateur sites on the net.

What do paying users recieve for their money?

The monthly membership fee is what you expect from a site of this type, however with only 270 videos the content is a little on the small side. There is an update history but I cannot understand the difference between a video or content update. On average the site is updated about once a week again a little on the mean side. Unless you have a particular thing for German men there are far better sites for your money, and I will finish were I started, take a look at the British and American sites, there is one main reason why they dominate the market, good old value for money.
