Does Bad Bears deliver what it promises on the outside?

The thoughtfully trashy trollops at BadPuppy have "dunnit agin" and given us the hirsute second cousin of its main site. The definition of what makes a man a 'bear' is a pretty controversial issue within the gay community, but that debate is for another time. What you need to know about BadBears is this: whatever your own personal definition is of the term, they gotcha covered...fur or fur-less. The sleek and sexy splash page has two prime examples of "Ursus major hunkus" as its focus, and trust me, they make a fitting preview for what you'll find inside.

What's good about Bad Bears? What needs improvement?

If you don't mind the fact that a good deal of the material on this site works as "porn-mercials" for other sites, (Hairy Studs, HDK, CumALot Videos, Raging Stallion, etc.), then it's all good. Since a lot of the larger and more successful adult sites employ this format, (with BadPuppy leading the way), then it's something a pornhound like myself can get used to. Two pet peeves that stand out? Number one would have to be short video clips from the "brand-namers" that get you all "het-up" but offer no delivery of the "money shot." I know the idea is to get you to go to the site where the clips originated, to get yer ya-yas (and yer cumloads) out, but it just seems bogus. Especially if you have plenty of your favorite DVD's at the ready just in case, (which I do).

Second thing is in the "Video Reviews" section. Maybe it should be called "Video Image Reviews", because that's what it is. I took it literally to mean that somebody put their two cents' worth in about new and current releases, but that's the one thing that's missing. I guess I shouldn't bitch much, since other sites 'talk' you to death about how great Stud A looked plugging his huge cock into Stud B's round muscle-ass, and then they have no images from the scene! The Reviews pages have images and a contact sheet with each video, which is a nice touch. But having a line or two about how the vid is would be the cherry on top, (and probably the ONLY cherry visible on these pages, heh heh!)

How is Bad Bears unique?

The site is unique in the absence of one thing...TWINKS. You want cute little boy fucktoys? That's what BadPuppy is for. Go, have a ball. Have two. Have as many as you can stand before your dick is too sore for anything else. But whether you like hairy bears, muscle bears, young or mature daddy bears, leather/Levi bears, biker bears, bears with or without tats and piercings, it's all here, and all FULLY GROWN MALES. These are the kind of guys you don't have to tell how to do anything to make you moan. In fact, if you were lucky enough, they might have you begging them to STOP!

Another unique plus: check out the Staff Page. The Webmaster of BadBears is a guy named David Weston, an actual BEAR running the site! If his pic is any inDICKator, he could have a page on his own website that would get it's own lion's share of hits. He looks like he'd be just THAT hot. He's even been gracious and thoughtful enough to provide both phone numbers and an email address where he can be reached with comments about the site. Now that's MY kinda guy!

What do paying users recieve for their money?

First, gotta mention the feature that became my favorite: the Models Pictures galleries. First, it's like Burger King...you can have it YOUR way! Each model's page has a downloadable zip file, a photo spread (the contact sheet of all the featured images), and here's a great idea--the slideshow feature. If you see somebody hot enough to make you wanna go through every frame, (and there's more than enough of THEM in this collection), you just click on the slideshow link and let the program do its thing, leaving your hands free for...other matters. :-p

And as for the studs to choose from, who's your daddy...bear? Will West? Chris Steele? Will Clarke? Matt Sizemore? Jeff Allen? You can find these old furry friends and some new ones in the nine pages of archived images in the Models Gallery. And that's just the APPETIZER!

Gallery Pictures features a section devoted to BadBear's "partners", including Jaybears, HDK and Raging Stallion. Stills and vid clips are available on most of these pages. Plus sections devoted to hot artists, (at this writing, artist Ira Smith had some really provocative work on display), the webcam and other antics of the notorious "Hung Redneck," and a Daily Pics page that reads like a sex menu, with "ala carte" items such as "Today's Fuck," "Today's Chest," "Today's Pits", "Today's Blow Job," and even "Today's Feet" for the "pedal-philes" out there!

There's just so many good features to mention, this review could take another hour just to write! But do be sure to check out "Bear Patrol Video Theater" under the Live/Streaming Sex link. There's classic and fairly new clips aplenty (requiring Real Player, and I really do hope you have a broadband connection), and for any clips that come up lacking in other areas of the site, these are the ones that make up for them. There's even this one clip starring Dallas Austin and Eduardo, where Ed is standing up and...well, you just have to see it for yourself!
