About GayGeek
GayGeek provides informative listings and reviews of gay adult websites.
Toward that goal, GayGeek lists websites and their contents, fees, payment options, and the like. Websites are then selected for review. These reviews are done through both qualitative (descriptive) as well as quantative (numerical) methods. The overall score for a review is a weighted average in which certain scores are considered more heavily than others when they are averaged. A more detailed explanation of the rating process is available.
Mike aka Headgeek
In regards to its reviews, GayGeek strives to be fair and impartial in all that it does. Reviews are independent in nature and are not censored or approved by the selected website. To avoid any conflict of interest the GayGeek staff does not actually conduct reviews. We work with a team of volunteer reviewers who are matched with sites that meet their preferences. We bar reviewers from evaluating any website in which they have a conflict of interest. Site users should be aware that GayGeek does have a financial relationship with most listed websites via their affiliate programs. These programs pay us a percentage of signup fees whenever a user join them via the links on our website. We do not accept moneys from websites outside of these affiliate programs.
The GayGeek staff has been known to joke that we accept sex from website models in exchange for better placement on our site. At present, no one has taken us up on the offer. So for all the webmasters out there, Aaron likes short and boyish twinks while Mike prefers collegiate guys with well-maintained and smooth hands. Aaron's husband prefers athletic fratboys, and will need to be distracted so that Aaron can receive his bribe without angry interruption.
GayGeek opened to the public in April, 2004.
Staff
Mike (pictured right) is the site manager. Mike's duties include recruiting and supervising reviewers, selecting websites for review, corresponding with outside webmasters, and maintaining the listings in our database. In short, Mike is the content supervisor for this website. Mike is a former officer in the United States Army and someday hopes to enlist in Starfleet.
Aaron is the nerd behind GayGeek. In addition to running the actual business, he is the technology person responsible for Geekware, the software that runs this site. When not getting into mischief Aaron enjoys tinkering and improving GeekWare functionality and welcomes all ideas and suggestions how to improve his work. Aaron has never served in the military but has slept with any number of former (and current) officers in the United States Army. He has yet to fraternize with anyone in Starfleet.
The cartoons on this site are done by Aaron's husband, a professional illustrator whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, and children's books. Serious inquiries about his services can be relayed through Aaron.
Contact information is available for both Mike and Aaron.
Reviewers
GayGeek utilizes volunteer reviewers to review adult websites. Reviewers are not paid by either GayGeek or the reviewed websites, but rather donate their time and energy. They do this in exchange for the satisfaction of knowing that their efforts will reward high-quality websites and steer users away from less deserving ones. And, we suspect, for the free porn.
The opinions expressed by the reviewers do not necessarily represent those of GayGeek and its staff.
2257 Compliance
GayGeek is deeply committed to working only with legal adult websites. More information about 2257 compliance is available.
